Great Chesapeake Bay Swim 2016

Summed up in haiku form:

White water, couldn't
see and missed all the feed boats.
Drank the Bay instead.

These are the bridges. I swam out to in between them and kept swimming until the bridges ended. This year I learned that swimming becomes more difficult than normal when the waves are larger than you.
It is extra important to keep one's sense of humor intact. It is also part of my pre-race strategy to maximally perplex my competitors.
This is almost the end. Fueled by all the salt water and diesel I ingested, I am attempting the slowest sprint ever in the history of open water swimming to pass that slacker who's water walking the rest of the way.
